Frank William Bennett Peveril

78, Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away March 16, 2008 in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Frank and Agnes (Bennett) Peveril. He was an active coordinator with the Nova Scotia Firefighter’s School for over 34 years in Waverley; an active firefighter in the Bridgewater Fire Department, and also served in Hebbville Fire Department and Northfield and District Fire Departments. He was an avid camper with the National Campers and Hikers Association. Surviving are his sons, Bruce (Mable), Charlottetown, PE; Alan (Gretchen), Lapland; Doug (Jo-Ann), Hebbville; sisters, Margaret Clattenburg, Halifax. Granddaughters, Amy, Lisa and Rachel; grandsons, Brendan, Shamus, Liam and Benjamin. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Muriel Bernice North. Visitation for family and friends 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Service 2 p.m. Thursday in Bridgewater Baptist Church. Rev. Eric Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Hebbville Cemetery, Hebbville. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Nova Scotia Firefighters School, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
