Leland Calvin Stewart

94, Hebbs Cross, passed away September 7, 2008 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born July 5, 1914 in Hebbs Cross, he was a son of the late Calvin and Evelina (Crouse) Stewart. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Audrey and Leland were the original owners and operators of the Lakeview Restaurant, now known as the Blarney Stone. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown. He is survived by his children Ivan (Mary), Barbara, Tony, Mickey (Linda); 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister, Dorothy, brother, Garth, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey; great grandson Philip; 3 brothers; 3 sisters and a sister in infancy. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 3 p.m. Wednesday, in Christ Lutheran Church, Camperdown, Rev. Catharine House officiating. Private family burial will follow in Crouse Settlement Cemetery, Crouse Settlement. A reception will follow the service in the Hebbs Cross Fire Hall. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, South Shore Regional Hospital or the charity of your choice.
