Lester Roy Teal

73 Of Broad Cove, passed away Saturday August 23, 2008, in the Queen’s Regional Hospital, Liverpool. He was born in Broad Cove and was the eldest of the 5 children of the late Russell and Belle (Boenher) Teal. Lester worked as a Stationary Engineer for many years for Imperial Oil, Nova Scotia Power and also at Scott Maritimes Pulp Ltd. in Abercrombie, Pictou Co. Lester retired to Broad Cove, where he kept busy with oxen, cows & even horses. He enjoyed watching the fishing boats coming and going from the comfort of his hilltop home. He also loved his faithful dog “Woofie”, who now has a loving home on a farm in PEI. He is survived by his daughter Peggy-Lee (David) Wamboldt, Broad Cove; son Bryan, Hebbs Cross; sister Donna Davidson (Don), Truro; brothers Charles (Mary Hubley), Broad Cove; Bill (Dawn), Crousetown; Roy (Gwen), Cape Breton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public visitation. A public graveside service will be held 2PM Tuesday August 26 in Forest Hill Cemetery Broad Cove, Rev. Ian Wissler officiating. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Lester’s memory may be made to the United Communities Volunteer Fire Department or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to C.F.
