Marion G. Wile
91, resident of Waterloo, Lunenburg Co., N.S. passed away July 12, 2008.
Born in Lunenburg, January 11, 1917, she was the youngest of 3 daughters,
born to William (Billy) Oxner and Annie (Silver) Oxner. She was the
last remaining member of her immediate family. Marion married James
Earl Wile in Rose Bay March 9, 1940. In her younger years she was an
excellent golfer and loved a good game of bridge. She and her husband
enjoyed entertaining their many friends. Marion loved to decorate their
home and have many wonderful dinners for family and friends. Needle
work was her passion, needle point and rug hooking. Many of these grace
the homes of family and friends. Marion is survived by her only daughter
Stephanie and her husband Douglas Wile, grandchildren Kim Malcolm of
East Lawrence Town; Jim Grimson of Montreal; David and Imelda Grimson
of Molega Lake, Lunenburg Co. Marion was predeceased by her husband,
of 63 years, Jim; sisters Phylis Olgalvie and Kathleen Clay. Her father
always referred to their 3 daughters as “Billy Oxners Paper Dolls”.
Marion has been cremated and by her request there will be a private,
family only, graveside service. Donations to her memory may be made
