passed away Tuesday 29 December 2009 at his home in Bridgewater. Born
in Sable River, he was the son of the late Ruby Hazel (Bangay) and Loran
Baker Harlow. Clifford spent the most of his life working in the commercial
fishing industry working on both the east and west coasts of Canada. He
obtained a second-class engineering ticket for marine engines and later
worked for National Sea in Lockeport, and Shelburne Marine and Shelburne
Diesel in Shelburne maintaining boats. He was a past member of the Lunenburg
County Ground Search and Rescue and was also a member the Sable River
Baptist Church. Clifford is survived by his wife Helen Lois (Parks) Harlow;
sons Franklyn Alexander (Kelly); Victor Ralston (Lynne); Paul Chadsey
(Deanna) all of Bridgewater; sisters Marjorie Taylor, Sable River; Daphne
Lloyd, Kitimat, BC; brothers Robert (Debbie), Kentville; Donald, Jordon
Falls; grandchildren Jennifer, Allison, Alex, Brian, Jessie, Hannah, Emma,
Ethan, Cael; step grandchildren Stephanie and Matthew; great grandchildren
Logan and Mia; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother
James. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will
be held 11:00 AM, Saturday 2 January 2010, in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel,
Bridgewater, Rev. Sarah Scott officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00
PM, Saturday 2 January 2010, in the Sable River Baptist Church Cemetery.
No flowers by request please. Memorials in Clifford’s memory may be made
to the Sable River Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society. Online
