Dayspring, formerly of Inverness, Inverness Co. N.S. passed away peacefully
on Tuesday April 20th in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater,
after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Hypertension. Beloved
wife and soul mate of husband Robert (Bob) Barnes and devoted mother to
son Robert (Jeanette), daughters Kathy and Lori, grandchildren Nicholas,
Selena and Sydney. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters

Catherine Beaton (Alphonse), Mabou Harbour; Ann Campbell–Shaver (Alan)
Brampton, ON; Archie Campbell (JoAnne), Brooksville, FL; John Campbell
(Debbie Wicks), New Glasgow; Frances Asselin (Georges) Brampton, ON; Theresa
LeBlanc (Cyril), Point Edward; sister-in-law Frances Turnbull, Dartmouth
and stepmother, Dorothy (Thompson) Campbell, Halifax. Sadie was predeceased
by father, John A. (Shorty) Campbell, Halifax/Inverness; mother Kathlyn
(Kaye MacLean), Halifax/Inverness; brother Roy Turnbull (Frances), Dartmouth
and granddaughter Annabella, Bridgewater. She was a member of Beta Sigma
Phi and the support and friendship of the Beta Sigma Phi sisters of Bridgewater
and Lr. Sackville helped Sadie during her illness. Sadie's passion was
cooking and she took pride in sharing her expertise for the socials at
the Bridgewater curling club over the past several years. The curling
club appreciated her dedication. We would like to thank the medical staff
of the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension clinic for helping Sadie fight
this terrible disease over the past 5 years, the medical staff at the
South Shore Regional Hospital for their support and in particular, Dr.
Diane Edmonds, Sadie's personal physician, for the care and friendship
she has provided. Sadie had the opportunity to choose the pallbearers
and we would like to thank them for the role they will play at the funeral.
Visitation will be Friday April 23rd from 7-9 pm at Sweeny’s Funeral Home,
with a Beta-Sigma Phi Sorority tribute service being held at 7 pm; a Catholic
Funeral Mass will be 10 am Saturday April 24th at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic
Church, Bridgewater. Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Being a loving
grandmother, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the IWK Children's
Hospital or the Sandra Schmirler Foundation supporting babies in distress.
