Donald Arthur Gow
83, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March
30, 2010 at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgewater he was
a son of the late Walter and Jean (Clarke) Gow. He was a local businessman
for many years. Music was his passion. He played with the Bridgewater
Citizens Band, Bridgewater Fire Department Band and various other bands
for total of 70 years. He also served as a cub master, hockey coach, was
on the Board of The Ark and was actively involved in the church band and
choir. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Viola (Medicraft); daughters,
Donna (Ken) Burke; Julie Gow (Sean Wilkie); sons, Bill (Marg Campbell),
Jeff. Grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph, Nicole, Hannah and Noah; brothers,
Andrew, Bridgewater; Walter, Peterborough; numerous nieces and nephews;
his beloved dog, Buster. He was predeceased by brothers, Ken, Frank and
sister, Jean. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 2, in Sweeny’s Funeral
Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Bridgewater United Church,
Bridgewater. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Immediate family flowers only,
donations to The Ark, Bridgewater Fire Department Band, Bridgewater United
