97, Chelsea, Lunenburg Co., passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born West Clifford, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Sadie (Oickle) Beck. She was the oldest resident of Chelsea. Surviving are her daughter, Genevieve Bond, Chelsea; son, Mervin (Madeline), Chelsea; daughter in law, Emily (Wilfred) Croft (Henley), Buckfield; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons; sister, Mary Barkhouse, Nineveh; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; a son, Harold; son in law, Virgil Bond; a brother in infancy; sisters, Evelyn Hebb, Ruby Crouse, Marjorie Kaulback and Helen Frausel. Visitation will be held Friday October 29 from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, in the Chelsea Baptist Church, Chelsea, Pastor Angela Stewart officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Chelsea Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
