Garnet Harland Joudrey

83, East Dalhousie, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Stanburne, he was a son of the late William and Opal (Carver) Jodrey. Garnet always had a smile for everyone, he loved life and the outdoors and always enjoyed a good wrestling match. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, the former, Viola Lowe; daughters, Helen Daniels (Grover Fancy), Linda (Roland) Acker, all of East Dalhousie; sisters, Phyllis (Mervyn) Ritcey, Baker Settlement; Beulah (Leigh) Dauphinee, West Northfield; Gladys Wentzell, New Germany; Alice (Charles) Durling, Estella DeLong, all of Barss Corner; Joyce Oickle, Stanburne; brother, Tracy (Joan) Joudrey, East Dalhousie; grandsons, Adam (Angie) Acker, Troy (Jodie) Acker, Paul Daniels; great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Logan, Paige and Maddox; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Hudson, Oakley; sisters, Hilda Joudrey, Doris Neily, Ruby Varner, Alma Daury; grandson, Harold Daniels. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service 2 p.m. Friday, in East Dalhousie Baptist Church, East Dalhousie. Pastor Robert Gates officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
