Nora Lynch - 99

1910 – 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Lynch, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Nora was born in Glengariff, Ireland, to Julia and John Lynch. She relocated to New York to join her sister Mary when she was 18 years of age. There she worked as a "nanny" to many fortunate children. In later years before her retirement, Nora traveled to St. Peter’s, Nova Scotia, to spend summer months with her sister Mary, and Mary’s husband Abram Fougere. She loved the salt air and walking along the shore and always spoke fondly of that special time. Nora is predeceased by her sisters Mary, Julia, Peggy, Irene and brothers Dennis, John, Cornelius and Timothy. She is survived by her sister Johanna (Costello) and brother Michael, England. Nora is also survived by Dona Pottie, Mary and Abram’s niece, her special "girls", and the many relatives, friends and caregivers that loved her. Nora will be truly missed for her kind ways, pleasant disposition and Irish humor. "God spare you the health", as she always said. Private burial.
