Minerva May Nichols

84, Voglers Cove, formerly of Mahone Bay, passed away on May 20, 2010 in Evergreen Nursing Home, Kentville. Born in Barss Corner, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Leola (Barkhouse) DeLong. She was a member of the church ladies groups in Voglers Cove and a supporter of many and various charities within the community. She never hesitated to help when it was needed. Surviving are her son, Doran Langille, Upper Rawdon; sisters, Ruth (Donald) Christian, Falls Church, Va.; Esther (Donald) Mills, Lyons Brook; 6 nieces, a nephew. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Timothy Langille; second husband, David Randolph Nichols; brothers, Aulden DeLong, Ivan DeLong; grandson, Kristopher Langille. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8 in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Rev. Vivian Moores and Rev. Karen Ohrt officiating. A reception will follow in the Voglers Cove Community Hall. A private family burial will be in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner.
