Mildred Lucille Oikle

94, of Lower Northfield, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully at Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay, Monday March 29, 2010. Born in Lower Northfield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Burns) Freeman. Mildred attended Provincial Normal College in Truro and taught for several years in Lunenburg County. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Florence Veinot, West Northfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Oswald and brother Arnold in infancy. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater where funeral service will follow at 10:30 am, Reverend Dale Gray officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. No flowers by request and memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
