Evelyn V. (Saunders) Taylor

 

Of Cookville, passed away April 4, 2010, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born June 29, 1909 in Jedore, she was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Baker) Worthen. Survived by children, Bruce (Edith) Saunders, Frances McDougall, Wanda (Gordon)Prince, Earl (Faye) Saunders, Lawrence (Janet) Saunders, Russel (Sandra) Saunders, Evan (Gail) Saunders; step-son William (Chris) Taylor; step-daughter, June Coote; sisters, Mina Dickover, Tennessee, Beulah Oare, Halifax, Vi (Doug) Swinamer, Florida; brother, George Cartright, Ontario. She was predeceased by husbands John W. Saunders and William Taylor; daughter, Dorothy (William) Baker; sons, Robert, Walter (Isabel) Saunders, Joseph (Mary) Saunders; sisters, Rita Weeks, Rose Shaw, Coops Germaine; brothers, Reigh Worthen and Lance Worthen. She had 37 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday April 17 in the Bridgewater United Church, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Private family burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. Family flowers only and no visitation by request. Memorial donations may be made to any food bank or charity of choice.
