Obituary of Carl David LeBlanc

Carl David LeBlanc - Age 53, of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by family after a strong battle against Lymphoma. Throughout the entire journey he was a shining light of hope and courage. Carl was better known to friends and family as “The Shine King” or “The Tire King”. He was born to his parents Ann (Belliveau) and Joseph “Eddie” LeBlanc, on August 11, 1970, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Carl grew up and completed his schooling in Sackville, Nova Scotia. Fifteen years ago, when he met the love of his life, he was happy to pick up and move to Bridgewater.

Carl is survived by his wife, Angela Firlotte; his father, Eddie LeBlanc; and his three daughters, Carla Ramsay (McCoul), Brooke LeBlanc and Amber LeBlanc.

Carl was predeceased by his mother, Ann Marie (Belliveau) LeBlanc.

Carl had various jobs but of those jobs his favourite was being a Dad. He was happiest when surrounded by the people that he loved.

Carl had an entrepreneurial drive which led him to start his own business “Shine King - Detail & Cleaning”. When he wasn’t at work at Honda Bridgewater as their Parts Manger he could be found out and about detailing cars or just about anything that was asked of him. Amber was known as “The Shine Princess” and helped her father on many occasions with his projects.

Carl was an amazing husband, father, and friend; anyone who knew him would be able to comment on his witty nature and ability to fill a room with laughter. He put everyone before himself in an effort to ensure they were always well taken care of.

A Reception in Celebration of Life for Carl will be held 1-3 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York St., Bridgewater. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of 8A at the Victoria General for all the kindness and amazing care Carl received throughout his time there.
